Responsibilities
Some of what you will be doing:
- Taking inbound calls to process medication refill requests
- Performing all duties within the scope of a Certified Medical Assistant's standards of practice
- Handling incoming calls that require support for lab or imaging results, referral requests and clinical inquiries
- Help guide patients to the right area
- Work in an electronic medical record/electronic health record
- Ensure we are verifying patient information and documenting appropriately
- Contact patients when needed (a break from those inbound calls!)

Qualifications
We want you to be successful, so these are some of the qualifications required:
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification
- 1 -3 years’ experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical or medical office environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medications
- Strong computer experience (data entry, screen navigation, keyboarding), including working in an Electronic Medical Record or Electronic Health Records
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook (email) and Word
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to adhere to daily schedules and duties
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent demonstration of caring and compassion
